Autism Advocacy in Action!
As of March 2023, 1 in 34 Minnesota children have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. The need to share information about Autism resources has never been greater! Community advocates such as BOB COUNTRY 106.1 FM, Sheletta Brundidge & others, have been kind enough to provide platforms to bring the conversations & information sharing to our community members. MN Waiver Reimagine Community
Minnesota Waiver Reimagine is happening! It will take the following four waivers, Developmental Disability (DD), Community Access for Inclusion (CADI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), & the Brain Injury (BI) waivers & condense them down to two. As a member of the MN Waiver Reimagine Advisory Committee (WRAC), Kelly has been advocating, along with others, to have the new waiver system meet the needs of the over 57,000 Minnesotans with disabilities. The advocating, beyond being vocal on WRAC, has included reaching to community members & Legislators to have meaningful dialogue.
